อัปปมาทวรรค — หมวดไม่ประมาท ๖ บท
Be heedful, mindful, and virtuous, monks, establish your intentions well, and guard your own minds.
ที. มหา. ๑๐/๑๔๒.
Delight in heedfulness; guard your own minds. Lift yourselves out of this bog, like an elephant pulls himself out of the mud.
ขุ. ธ. ๒๕/๕๘.
A monk who delights in heedfulness, who sees danger in negligence, burns away fetters, whether small or large, like a fire burns up fuel.
ขุ. ธ. ๒๕/๑๙.
A monk who delights in heedfulness, who sees danger in negligence, is not capable of decline; he is indeed near to Nibbāna.

One should remove all craving that clings — above, below, across and in the middle; for whatever in the world one clings to, by that very thing Māra follows one.
