When someone asks forgiveness, if one is resentful, furious and refuses to accept it, one is said to be harbouring enmity.

Among humans, few reach the far shore (Nibbāna); the rest of the people merely run along this shore.

Train the mind to be firm and steady through the perception of foulness; be mindful of the body; have much disenchantment (with all conditioned things).

Those sages who are harmless and ever restrained in body go to the deathless state, where, having gone, they do not grieve.
