The deceitful, the arrogant, the babbler, the boastful, the conceited and the unsettled do not grow in the Dhamma taught by the Perfectly Enlightened One.
Brahmin! The noble ones praise the one who slays anger, whose root is poison and whose tip is honey; for having cut off that anger, one does not sorrow.
The energetic one should not sleep much; he should cultivate wakefulness, and abandon sloth, deceit, merriment, play, sexual intercourse and adornment.
