พุทธศาสนสุภาษิต นักธรรมชั้นโท

อธมฺมํ ปฏิปนฺนสฺส โย ธมฺมมนุสาสติ / ตสฺส เจ วจนํ กยิรา น โส คจฺเฉยฺย ทุคฺคตึ.

Whoever teaches the Dhamma to one who practises wrongly — if that one follows his word, he will not go to a bad destination.

ขุ. ชา สฏฺฐี. ๒๘/๓๙.

อุปารมฺภจิตฺโต ทุมฺเมโธ สุณาติ ชินสาสนํ / อารกา โหติ สทฺธมฺมา นภโส ปฐวี ยถา.

One of poor wisdom and hard heart, though he hears the Conqueror’s teaching, is still as far from the true Dhamma as the earth from the sky.

ขุ. เถร. ๒๖/๓๒๓.

ขตฺติยา พฺราหฺมณา เวสฺสา สุทฺทา จณฺฑาลปุกฺกุสา / อิธ ธมฺมํ จริตฺวาน ภวนฺติ ติทิเว สมา.

Kshatriyas, brahmins, vaishyas, shudras, outcastes and low workers, having practised the Dhamma in this world, become equal in the heaven of the Thirty-three.

ขุ. ชา. ๒๗/๗๖/๑๗๕

ตณฺหาทุติโย ปุริโส ทีฆมทฺธาน สํสรํ / อิตฺถมฺภาวญฺญถาภาวํ สํสารํ นาติวตฺตติ.

One who has craving as his companion wanders long and does not pass beyond this fickle round of rebirth.

ขุ. จู. ๓๐/๓๒๐.

นภญฺจ ทูเร ปฐวี จ ทูเร / ปารํ สมุทฺทสฺส ตทาหุ ทูเร / ตโต หเว ทูรตรํ วทนฺติ / สตญฺจ ธมฺโม อสตญฺจ ราช.

They say sky and earth are far apart, and the shore of the ocean is far; but the Dhamma of the good and that of the bad are further apart than these.

ขุ. ชา. อสีติ. ๒๘/๑๔๓.

นิกฺกุหา นิลฺลปา ธีรา อตฺถทฺธา สุสมาหิตา / เต เว ธมฺเม วิรูหนฺติ สมฺมาสมฺพุทฺธเทสิเต.

One who is honest, not a babbler, prudent, not arrogant, of steady mind — such a one shines in the Dhamma taught by the Perfectly Enlightened One.

องฺ. จตุกฺก. ๒๑/๓๔. ขุ. มหา. ๒๙/๑๕๑.

ปฏิโสตคามึ นิปุณํ คมฺภีรํ ทุทฺทสํ อณุํ / ราครตฺตา น ทกฺขนฺติ ตโมกฺขนฺเธน อาวุตา.

Those dyed with lust, enveloped by the mass of darkness (ignorance), do not see the Dhamma that goes against the stream — subtle, profound and hard to see.

ที. มหา. ๑๐/๔๑.

ยทา จ พุทฺธา โลกสฺมึ อุปฺปชฺชนฺติ ปภงฺกรา / เต อิมํ ธมฺมํ ปกาเสนฺติ ทุกฺขูปสมคามินํ.

When the Buddhas, the light-makers, arise in the world, they proclaim this Dhamma that leads to the stilling of suffering.

ขุ. ปฏิ. ๓๑/๔๑๘.

ยสฺส สพฺรหฺมจารีสุ คารโว นูปลพฺภติ / อารกา โหติ สทฺธมฺมา นภํ ปฐวิยา ยถา.

Whoever has no respect for his companions in the holy life is as far from the true Dhamma as the sky from the earth.

ขุ. เถร ๒๖/๓๑๑.

เย จ โข สมฺมทกฺขาเต ธมฺเม ธมฺมานุวตฺติโน / เต ชนา ปารเมสฺสนฺติ มจฺจุเธยฺยํ สุทุตฺตรํ.

Those who practise the Dhamma in the Dhamma well proclaimed by the Buddha will cross the realm of Death, so hard to cross.

ขุ. ธ ๒๕/๒๖.

โย อิจฺเฉ ทิพฺพโภคญฺจ ทิพฺพมายุํ ยสํ สุขํ / ปาปานิ ปริวชฺเชตฺวา ติวิธํ ธมฺมมาจเร.

Whoever desires divine wealth, life, fame and happiness should refrain from evils and practise the threefold good conduct.

ขุ. ชา. มหา. ๒๘/๓๐๖.

โย จ อปฺปมฺปิ สุตฺวาน ธมฺมํ กาเยน ปสฺสติ / ส เว ธมฺมธโร โหติ โย ธมฺมํ นปฺปมชฺชติ.

Whoever, though he hears little Dhamma, sees the Dhamma with his own body, and does not neglect the Dhamma — he indeed is a bearer of the Dhamma.

ขุ. ธ. ๒๕/๔๙.

โยนิโส วิจิเน ธมฺมํ ปญฺญายตฺถํ วิปสฺสติ / ปชฺโชตสฺเสว นิพฺพานํ วิโมกฺโข โหติ เจตโส.

One should investigate the Dhamma wisely; then one sees the meaning clearly through wisdom, and liberation of mind comes about like the going out of a flame.
